2011 Annual
Convention
of Delegates
Was held at the Embassy Suites in the historic Old Market District in Omaha, NE March 19th & 20th. Region 5 hosted the hospitality meet and greet Friday evening to welcome our delegates as they arrived from across the country.
Saturday morning it was time to get to the business at hand. We heard from our Executive Committee, Regional Directors, and Committee Chairs about the highlights of the last year and looking forward into the next. Many exciting plans are on the plates of our committees this coming year. Rule changes were read, discussed and voted on. The Excellence in Performance Award was awarded to Southern Idaho Sighthound Field Association (SISFA). Hall of Fame persons winner was Carolyn & Greg Mountan. The hounds inducted into the Hall of Fame Hound this year included the Whippet Joe, the Whippet Sligo, and the Rhodesian Ridgeback, Kimba.

Congratulations to the winners of these prestigious awards. New Business came with much discussion, as always. Late afternoon on Saturday we adjourned, earlier than expected for the weekend.
Due to many of those attending having scheduled flights on Sunday afternoon; the Committee Chairs put on an impromptu open forum Sunday morning, which was very well attended and productive. The Committee Chairs were able to share some of the ideas they're working on for 2011 and the delegates were able to give ideas and opinions on those projects. It was an invaluable opportunity for our committees. At that the 2011 ACoD was brought to a close. Thank you to everyone that attended. Hope to see you next year!
